Antique African Carved Birthing Stargazer Chair

This is a wonderful African Art piece.  The intricate geometric carvings of animals, birds, turtle, tools.
The carving looks very similar to Dogon Art and I found a door with similar carvings.  I believe the
wood is mahogany that has not been oiled or finished in any way.  It is heavy weighing 35lbs.
It came out of a collectors estate with African chairs, stools, and sculpture. (I have a Benin sculpture
listed that came out of this same estate.)  This is not a tourist reproduction but a genuine tribal
palaver chair.  Two pieces.  The carving is extremely well done.  This is an antique from everything
I can research.  No other information was available.  It is called a birthing or stargazer chair but
has also been called a Chief's Chair. The thickness of the wood is 1.25"
