    Description

A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued in 1969 to honor Dartmouth College on it's 200th anniversary and commemorate the Dartmouth College Case of 1819. It is one of the original nine Colonial Colleges founded before the American Revolution and is the smallest Ivy League school. The stamp features a rendering of the school in the background with Daniel Webster, a prominent alumni and the lawyer who argued the case in the foreground.
These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the post office over 50 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift for any alumni, student, professor or any fan of this fine Ivy institution.
