    Description

You are bidding on a Southern Railway booklet promoting travel to Mt. Vernon, the home of George Washington, and Alexandria, Virginia.
Here you’ll find sixteen pages with a bit of information about Mt. Vernon, the Carlyle House and other Alexandria attractions, and about the Southern’s convenient schedules and excellent modern train service.
Vintage black & white photographs show interior views of Mt. Vernon; of the Lee Mansion in Arlington; views of Washington, D.C.; and interior views of the White House, Capitol Building, and Library of Congress.
The covers show a front view and back view of Mt. Vernon, and the upper edge of the booklet follows the edge of the Mt. Vernon roof line instead of being a straight edge.
The booklet was printed on February 22, 1906 (Washington’s 174
    th
    birthday).
This copy is in very good/excellent condition.
