ANTIQUE GERMAN SCHOBERL & BECKER CELLBA MARK CELLULOID DOLL. Approx 17" Marked 46 with Winged Mermaid with a shield, this is the mark for Celba Celluloid Warenfabrik or Schoberl & Becker.
Not sure the clothes or shoes are original to doll. The dress is a sailor type dress and the collar is not attached to dress, the red bow is pinned on collar. Pink socks and the white shoes are marked "Cinderella #1M" The arms, legs and head do have #46. The most interesting thing is on the back is a signature that appears to be in german, I do not know who or why it was signed on the back? There is a small crack on upper lip (see photo) Hair also has several rubbed spots (see photos). I am not an expert bought for my granddaughter and she did not want.
